Manga Girl – a different point of view.

If you were a kid in 80s/90s Britain, you’ll know that liking geek culture was a recipe for soloing the slow dance at the school disco. Wallflowers? More like dorkflowers ammirite? At least, that’s what our designer used to think…until they moved to France in 1989 (aged 12). 1980s/90s French kids loved Manga! DBZ had a cult-like following amongst the new kids they met there. This image is a nod to their realisation that opening up your experiences to other places and people can open up your heart to new loves.

We all have our ‘blind spots’. That’s OK. Manga Girl is a reminder to question and challenge our understanding of the world. By exploring different points of view, we can take a step closer to understanding each other and find a brighter tomorrow. Together.
