Galactic Pit Stops
Designer Dave is a car enthusiast, has a fancy Alpine Renault a110 and everything. He’s also fond of taking flights of fancy (who isn’t?). One of these took him to the idea of futuristic carparks. It went something like this, “In the year 2356, when we’re all in flying Alpines, what will carparks look like?” and this image of the Atomium popped into his head – each orb, a car port. If you look closely, you can spot a couple of vehicles just parking up or leaving their space. But as mesmerising as the cars are, it’s the interconnectivity of the orbs that strikes a chord. Each one separate, yet part of the whole – just like us.
