Yo, fellow gamers! Are you visiting the UK Games Expo 24? It’s a brilliant time. Whether you’re a fan of cosplay, competitive gaming or enjoy discovering new games, it’s all here under one roof. And, this year, you’ll get to meet us! Find out how we’re pushing for change and fostering inclusivity from within–and if that last sentence makes no sense to you, come and see us in Hall 2, stall 1140, and we’ll explain it all for you.

Why Gaming Communities Matter to Our Mission

As a gamer, you know that gaming’s more than just a way to kill time – it’s fun and a place where you can make lifelong friends with people from all four corners of the Earth (Earth’s square, right?). It’s probably the only community that’s truly inclusive in that way; as long as you share a passion for a game, you have a connection. Unfortunately, it’s also a place for trolling and rage: some of us HATE losing!

The trolling makes gaming the perfect space to spread our message: that we’ll make this world a better place if we first acknowledge our own role in the problems and then challenge ourselves -“Why am I being a d@*k right now?” (Can you say “dork” online?)

The Power of Inclusion

Would you prefer to play with the same group, day in day out? It can be fun, but at some point, it will affect your game. How can you get better if you only play a handful of people? But, when we embrace diversity, our gaming experience gets better: more challenges, more things discovered and more creativity. We might be wrong, but we think people act better when they feel included.
