    84 Is Now

Original price was: £30.00.Current price is: £22.00.
If you know you know (IYKYK) In the terrifying world of the future, are cameras watching your every move? Has Big Brother got you locked in? Orwell's famous book, "1984", appears to ring true right now. At least, that's how Designer Dave sees it. Sometimes, you can't see what's right in front of your nose. Well, our fingers are crossed that, this time, Designer Dave is just stretching that imagination a bit too far with this cinematic graff style. Don't hate the system; help change it.

    ADH T-Shirt

Original price was: £30.00.Current price is: £22.00.
Meet the Artist This design is the cartoonification of our resident artist, ADH (All Dead Here). Here's his bio: All Dead Here (ADH) If the art looks macabre, it’s ADH. The Dark One, awakening reminders of our mortality. Making sure we remember that life is fleeting. Gothic with just the right amount of sinister he turns the morbid into art.

    Amity Island Surf Shop

Original price was: £30.00.Current price is: £22.00.
The deep blue sea is a mystery, and the things lurking beneath are often just the shadows of imagination.  In '75, one such shadow terrorised the fictitious town of Amity and the hearts and minds of people everywhere - I had fears of sharks slipping into my local swimming pool. But Designer Dave has a new perspective, and this 'Amity Island Surf Shop' tee isn't just a homage to the classic 'don't go into the water' thriller—it's a call to dive deeper. To question dominant beliefs. Sharks. Those terrifying creatures that we hunted to the edge of existence. We've worn their teeth for necklaces, their fins for soup, filled them with plastic, stolen their habitats. We bite them more than they bite us.  Stories stir waves of change, sometimes irrational, so when you hear a story, step back: think.  Truth swims in muddied water - question received wisdom.

    Ape Face

Original price was: £30.00.Current price is: £22.00.
Shakespeare said, 'The whole world's a stage and all the men and women merely players'. I always thought it meant we were all fakers, wearing masks to hide our true selves. It doesn't. It means we play different roles in different places. The face you wear at work isn't the face you wear round your nan's house. In the grand theatre of life, we wear many masks, but one is overlooked and goes unspoken. The original mask: our primal face. The source of our unyielding spirit. This shirt honours that face. The face that everyone has, but most of us hide (although my cousin had his on full view at our nan's house when he sucked spaghetti up his nostrils and threaded it through - no idea why, but if his primal face has spaghetti hanging out of each nostril, who are we to judge?). Revolt Gorilla's ape face is a nod to the challenge of knowing your primal face. Wear this shirt as a reminder that beneath the costumes of civilization, there beats the face of self-expression.

    Bad Dog Graphic Tee

Original price was: £30.00.Current price is: £22.00.
The Squirrel phenomenon - aka Bad Dog moments Designer Dave's dog, who he creatively named Dog, was a bit of a rogue, not malicious, just easily distracted - like a dog in a squirrel-infested woods. One fateful walkies through the woods, Dog caught sight of a squirrel and bolted...straight through a stranger's picnic. Chaos! Dog, barking his head off at the bottom of the tree - clearly excited - dropped a little turd on the picnic blanket. (The scene immortalised on our Bad Dog graphic tee). We all have our squirrel moments (minus the turds, hopefully), moments of distraction where we ignore our surroundings, inadvertently dumping a metaphorical turd in other people's coleslaw. Remember, we can all be the ‘Bad Dog’ in someone’s story. Know your squirrels (distractions) to lessen their impact on others.

    Bat Chap

Original price was: £35.00.Current price is: £22.00.
Break down barriers. Speak without words. Language: sometimes a bridge, sometimes a barrier. When we reach across continents, our words sometimes create unintended meanings, making trenches when we meant to make bridges. A prime example was the inspiration for this shirt: "Defy Hate", when translated to Vietnamese, becomes "despite the hatred" or "bat chap su thu han", a testament to the dance of language and meaning. Yet, beyond words, stories unfold. From the safety of his office, a soldier, coddled by his privileges, watches over the workers in the fields, sweat pouring off their backs as he adjusts his uniform. As sun sets, a new story begins, one of bats and the looming spectres of "fear and loathing", a mirror to Hunter S. Thompson's chaotic narrative. When words muddle, look for the truth that unites us.

  • Against the Wall, Beyond the Boundaries. Before pump tracks and skate parks became part of the urban landscapes, a young Designer Dave and his tight-knit crew carved out a space for themselves in the heart of Southampton. Back then, there were no government-backed clubs or dedicated places for the young ‘ens to go. Designer Dave’s playground? An undeveloped patch of local land. In the barren field, a feature stood out: a wall. Just a wall. The wall became the epicentre of countless games. You could kick a football, smack a tennis ball, you name it. On sunny days, you’d find the crew lounging in the field, excited about recent quests to distant BMX and skateboard shops. For Dave, the wall symbolises unity and friendship. His crew knew only the bond of shared passions – they didn’t have time for prejudice and hate. Through play, the world unites. Honour your inner child and bonds made.
