DefyH8 Shines at BMX Life’s London Santa Cruise 2023

Wheels were spinning, and spirits were high at BMX Life’s London Santa Cruise (9th of December, 2023). BMX Riders and enthusiasts from across the UK gathered in London in their Santa costumes for a charity ride through the city.

DefyH8 stepped up to the challenge of making the day even more memorable by offering two raffle prizes. Two lucky winners not only took home a copy of the book The Art of Or Else H8lessness 01, but also had their pick of one shirt from the DefyH8 collection.

The first winner chose the ‘Evel K-Never Dies’ shirt, created by DefyH8’s resident artist, Designer Dave, who has the same design on his ‘Red’ hoodie.

This piece particularly resonates with the BMX scene, capturing the daring spirit of Evel Knievel himself. Although Designer Dave had plans to showcase the hoodie at the event, fate (or Hernia, if you prefer) had other ideas. Alas, he had to miss out on #9. No beef, the spirit of Evel K lives on, and you can find the nod to his legacy in our shop, Evel K-Never Dies.

After a brief chat, the second winner opted for our striking Grayfiti shirt but chose to upgrade to the cosy Greyffiti Hoodie version of the design. Perfect for the chilly London weather!

As we look back on a successful event, we’re not just reminiscing about the gravity-defying tricks and the roar of the crowd but are also proud to have been part of a fantastic event organised by BMX Life. Through these events, they’ve raised over £135,000 for ECHO – UK, a charity holding a special place in our community’s heart.

Stay tuned for the details of the next ride and event. We can’t wait to see old friends and new faces at BMX Life’s next London charity ride. Keep your eyes peeled, your bikes oiled, and your ears fluffy! Bunny Hop Ride Out #9 is next – 23/3/24!
